Alcohol Free: Some mouthwashes are alcohol-free and some mouthwashes contain up to 27% alcohol. Alcohol carries flavor and acts as an antibacterial, but studies have shown that alcohol-free mouthwashes work just as effectively. However, there are concerns that alcohol consumption leads to oral cancer, but these claims have never been proven.
